Restaurant reviews

If you’ve visited the town’s restaurants, you’ve probably read restaurant reviews. But are they really useful? What do restaurant reviewers actually look for in a restaurant? First, they should include a full meal review that includes everything from the prices to the quality of the dishes. Second, they should discuss the restaurant’s strengths and weaknesses. And, if possible, they should also include pictures. Often, professional reviewers visit a restaurant several times to ensure they have an accurate overview of what it has to offer.

If you’re looking for an authentic local meal, try to find one with French accents. In Kimboerley, French is widely spoken. The writer’s French improves along with her job competence, and she even gets a shoutout from the director of a local restaurant: Il y a du monde déjà! That’s a French phrase that translates as “it’s already busy!” Fortunately, she is able to learn the words for tips, which literally translates to “drinking.” That’s right–plenty of alcohol is consumed throughout the book.
